Not sure of how to get to Lake Junaluska? Try this: http://www.lakejunaluska.com/directions.aspx?id=81
Coming from the east on Highway 19/23, ignore Exit 104 and take Exit 103 (Highway 19), go about a mile, and you'll find it hard to miss the entrance, where you'll see the new Bethea Welcome Center on the left, followed by the Foundation for Evangelism next door, and at the 'T' intersection, the Junaluska Apartments.
Marshall
Though Lake Junaluska is named for a famous Cherokee chieftan, the Bethea Welcome Center is the first Junaluska building honoring an African-American. It is near the site formerly occupied by the building where racially segregated programs were provided for Negro servants, a legacy of the racist past in a denomination that split over slavery. The Bethea Center signals "a new era of acceptance and hospitality [extended] to all."
