Wow, what you can get from this group . . . Your response, Robert, reminds me of a conversation I had with Fred Emerson when he was still corporate treasurer for what was (then) Greyhound. He talked about the change that happened when the majority of their stock holders were no longer individuals but pension funds, mutual funds, etc. He said the only concern then was return on investment -- no longer any focus on the what the company actually did or on long term health, just high enough returns . . .
