I have not been reading a lot lately, but a month or so ago I picked up
Daniel Quinn's Ishmael (which I had read several years ago) and re-read it.
As soon as I finished it, I read Quinn's The Story of B, and I am now
skimming My Ishmael because so much of it is a repetition of and expansion
on The Story of B.  I'm up to the last chapters and Julie's preparing to go
to Africa.
I'm drawn to it.  I'm ambivalent.  I'm hooked.  I'm look
