[Dialogue] Global Grid

HELLO!

I will be sending you, Ellen, a copy of the Global Grid by snail mail. I 
first came up with a draft of it while in the International Office in the fall of 
1971. Claudia Cramer and I then worked it over until we had a satisfactory 
product. In the years since there have been various revisions of it, creative 
variations, particularly in the East: India-China-Seapac. Or is it 
China-India-Seapac? The other two of the big three are North America-Europe-Russia and South 
America-NAME-Africa. There also is a global Grid subdivided into Areas.

It has been a strong and useful symbol over the years; it is particularly 
powerful when displayed with the picture of the Earth from the Moon.
