Hi Sunny,
It is hard to respond to anecdotal comments, but I suspect the comments
about THKerry are probably true. I grew up in Pittsburgh and Heinz was a great
part of that. Legends abound. In my mind I always associate the name with a
social service center called the Sarah Heinz House (sort of like Hull House in
Chicago.) The family was highly regarded, not only for their business acumen,
but also for their care and concern for those less fortunate. The Heinz
family, just like mine, including grand parents, were republican. (My political
life began when I was 3 and marched in a republican parade in the town where my
mother grew up, waving a flag and chanting, "Wendell Wilkie" over and over.
Don't have any idea how long my grandfather coach me to say that).
So, I wonder just how upset the family is (or would be) at Theresa's choice
of causes to support. Anyway, what a dumb thing to attack. She was probably
supporting these same entities when she was a republican. She has been a democrat
for 18 months, according to her. Highlighting and condemning her interests
has caused several I know here in FL to decide to support the Kerry-Edwards
ticket.
