Roger--
Here at Northminster Presby Church, we also have had a monthly movie night (Christianity and the Arts) held in members' homes for about four years now, including popcorn, candy, etc. Following the movie we have an art form conversation. Some of the movies we have seen are (not in order of viewing):

It's a Beautiful Life
Chocolate
A River Runs through It
The Priest
The Last Temptation of Christ
The Passion
The Apostle
As Good As It Gets
Cider House Rules
O Brother Where Art Thou
The Titans
Thirteen Days
Insider
Whale Rider
Leap of Faith
Big Fish
The Bishop's Wife
Ash Wednesday
It's A Wonderful Life
Rabbit Proof Fence
Bowling for Columbine
Something to Talk About
The Pianist
Far from Heaven
Heaven Can Wait
Shirley Valentine
The Last Castle

We've been able to have good discussions even with the movies that weren't so good. If I remember others, I'll send them along.
