The original source for the commencement address sent to us by Ed Reames can

my life stage New School University was known in the 1950-1960's as the New
School of Social Research and was in the forefront of liberal issues, e.g.,
civil rights and the anti-Vietnam war movement to mention only two.  Ted
Sorensen was a friend of John Kennedy, President of the United States,
1960-1963, and a speechwriter in his administration.
