Subject: [Dialogue] Spamming etc.

Colleagues,

This morning had two things happen about which I wish to inform you.

1. I received an e-mail that looked like it
was
from my ISP asking me to click on a web link and verify personal
information. This looks like a blatant scheme to steal one's identity.
I
let my Norton AntiSpam software know that I considered this message
spam. I
would suggest that you not respond to such messages in any way, e.g.,
reply,
going to the suggest web link, etc.
2. One of the messages that was clearly spam
asked me to verify an auto reply. I only do auto replies when I know
the
sender and clearly know the correct e-mail address. This morning I said
that I did not want to send the auto reply message. This is a tactic to
verify that the spammer has reached an active e-mail address.

Peace,
Harry
