Talked briefly today with the woman at the mailing house who handles the
ICA's mailings. Without prompting she led with, 'So, how's YOUR mood today?'
I replied, 'Glum.' Wherein followed an interesting conversation that
revealed an intelligent, open and courageous person whose reflection is that
people are afraid of leaving the 19th century in favor of the 21st.

I was startled, impressed, and a bit reenergized.

I wonder if a new, more radical--as in oriented toward addressing
contradictions--political movement will be born?

Let's talk vision, contradiction, strategy, tactics and implementation, from
the precinct up.

Nelson, tell us more about your and Elaine's precinct canvassing. Who else
has been active in local politics? Louise Singleton?

David
