I wanted to tell you about a new book, "Credo", by William Sloane Coffin. It
is a compilation of brief statements from his speeches and sermons and
writings, arranged by subject.

William Sloane Coffin is an elder now. In the 60s he was active in the civil
rights movement, and is still an activist now on behalf of nuclear
disarmament. He was chaplain at Yale, where he became famous for his opposition to the
war in Vietnam.

I had been reading this book during the time of the first presidential
debate, and was pleased that when John Kerry was asked what the number one issue in
the world was, that Kerry answered nuclear proliferation.

the mountain ranges.
