Dear Muriel,
Have you noticed how our society lumps all of us over sixty and up to 100 or
whatever into one big ball called elders or retired or getting up there in
age. For our future society we need to name the groups from 60 to 80, from 80 to
100, and 100 plus.
I passed my 70th year Jan 24, 05, and I find myself in good company! What
greeted me last summer was cancer of the esophogas, which is now behind me. But
it was a heck of a reminder that I'm in the big lump of folks over 60,
searching for my identity in new ways. What have you discovered at age 75 that gives
identity to the lump?
Best wishes for the new horizons you face, and Happy Birthday!
Terry Wright
