Subject: Help Maintain a Vibrant Democracy
Dear Colleagues:
I seek your support on this because I think it is foundational to all our
organizations and voices. There are numerous political activation avenues
taking place around us like move on, ACT, Human Rights Watch, all with which
I affiliate and support. I know time means we have to be selective.
Here is the current push from the League of Conservation Voters, of which I
am a part:
The strong, independent voices like the League of Conservation
Voters are in great danger of losing their ability to speak out
to effectively protect our air, land and water in the years
ahead. The Bush White House is trying a new trick to get
independent voices out of the political process. We need to take
action now so LCV can effectively protect our air, land, and
water in the years ahead.
I just wrote to my Senators about this issue, and I hope that
you will join my efforts in letting Congress know that you
oppose this bill because we need a vibrant democracy with many
voices. Click here to send your message:
