Darrel,
Thanks for your immediate response. I know only what the LCV web site is
saying. I also support Russ, but didn't know he was supporting s 271. So we
have either uncovered political inconsistency, or once again proved that I
am one of the most gullible liberals around. Most of my colleagues would
probably bet on the latter. On the other hand, it deserves some additional
intelligence. If you find any more share it.

George, I need additional information on this. I just read Russ
Feingold's March 8 testimony before a Senate committee and he says that he
is the sponsor of S. 271, not the Bush White House. I tend to trust
Feingold. Is there something that I am missing here?
