Technology is wonderful. You can set up the RSS feature on the Safari
browser on the Mac to bring you news from all the newspapers and
agencies from around the world and be there when you turn your computer
on in the morning. I'm sure there is the same set up on Intel
machines. It makes it almost a scan of pressure points, seeing what
leads in Latin America as opposed to Asia or Africa. Wiegel should
have a hayday plotting pressure points. I have often wondered what Joe
would have done if we all had had laptops. It certainly has made
consults in villages a lot easier. You could throw a document together
the day after and have it printed and back to the village in a day for
corrections by the people, and in another day a finished product with
proposals being emailed to governments and foundations. While all this
is wonderful. Now how do we put it to use. Our email list has helped
us keep up with diverse interests, our health, deaths and to some
degree what some of us are thinking. We are all a bunch of doers that
drill down wherever we are. We can publish books with editors scattered
across the world and we can alert each other. What else? How can we
forward our mission?
Jack and Judy G. have promoted some successful gatherings that has
energized us and we've had International gatherings that have reached
way out beyond our borders. Epps had a weekend get together that
resulted in Bending History and I'm sure that I've not even scratched
the surface. Cock has been pouring out stuff as has Stanfield and the
Canadian Creatives. This bunch is so creative, I'd like to know our
edges and what are the directions and musings as well as tactics.
Wanda and I are talking about how we can network the creatives in our
area as best we can. We're finding a lot of them are so creative they
don't connect, sound familiar?
All the best
