Greetings from Fairfax, VA...
Thanks to all of you in the 'greater' Houston area, and elsewhere, who may
be participating in the memorials for Alleene Watson on behalf of many
others. Only a few of us can personally attend the memorials for our global
colleagues, but many will be there in spirit. In recent years, Eunice and I
have been able to be present to help celebrate the completed lives of
Margynell Knutsen - (a soul-mate of Alleene's); Basil Sharp and Abe Ulangca.
For each person - letters and e-mails that arrived from colleagues around
the world were read at services where most of the people present didn't have
a clue who the senders were... Never-the-less, as the messages were read, a
deep sense of connection and respect flowed into the room...Awe settled in.
I over-heard a quiet comment at Abe's service: "My goodness, I had no
idea...friends all over the world!" I felt awash in gratitude for the
Presence of Being, grounded in our global network of colleagues. So keep
those cards and e-mails flowing!
Blessings all around, Sherwood
