Hello Family and Friends –
This e-mail is being sent so that we might establish a prayer chain for some
friends of ours. Many of you may know Darrell, Maryann, Caleb and Zachary
Arnold. Well, whether you know them or not, this is a request to keep them
lifted up in your prayers.
(December 16, 2004) Caleb is their oldest son, a senior at Mapleton High
School, and recently had liver surgery to remove a tumor from his right lobe, but
ended up being a total right lobe removal—a grueling 10-hour surgery. He
bounced back very rapidly and amazed his three surgeons with a remarkable recovery.
Tuesday, December 21st they received the extremely heartbreaking news that
Caleb has an extremely rare and very difficult cancer to treat and cure. It is
called Hepatocelluar Carcinoma and is not found much here in the U.S.,
especially among those in Caleb’s age bracket.
The treatment plan to attack this cancer will begin soon. The Arnold’s have
asked that we earnestly pray that this treatment he will be undergoing is
successful in killing off any free floating cells left within his body. They
express there are a lot of positives at this point, in their favor, but the odds
are 50/50 that treatment will work and 50/50 as the liver regenerates itself
the tumor can return with it.
Caleb is in an extremely good frame of mind for all that he is going through,
so please pray God will continue to strengthen him during this difficult time
in his life.
Along with these treatments, also means spending many hours on the road over
the next several months, so please pray for their safe travels.
Now, we all e-mails notes, stories, jokes, etc., so now let’s e-mail this
prayer request to at least seven people, ask them to include the Arnold’s in
their daily prayers and continue to keep this great Christian family uplifted in
our daily prayers.
Thanks to all of you and God Bless.
Love and prayers,
Darrell & Becky
Judith, Mike and Meg
