[Dialogue] A Creation Myth for the New Millennium

Dear Friends,
	I came across a book for children of all ages at a Half Price
Bookstore...used and discontinued books etc.  It is entitled "The Blessing
Seed - A Creation Myth for the New Millennium" by Caitlin Matthews with
beautiful batik like illustrations by Alison Dexter, published by Barefoot
Books. At a time when the old myths seem to be restricting the way forward
this is a refreshing rephrasing of the "In the Beginning" story.  I picked
up about 10 copies for $5.00 each though it was published at $15.00.  There

can't locate it elsewhere.  Some of you have probably already seen it.  I
am really glad I came across it.  One phase I especially like. " I made
mountains to last forever. I made flowers and trees for beauty. I made
birds, fish and animals for their many gifts. But, I made human beings for
their longing to know." (which is our blessing seed).  When our 7 year old
granddaughter first opened the book she sang the first four pages.  Treat
