Lucille,

Your reply to Sunny prompted me to try to find my copy of Ishmael, which
inspired me at the time I read it, but it's been a long time. I did read Margaret
Starbird's books on the Magdalene Heresy and found them fascinating. The
discussion group we had at the local Presbyterian Church (about a year ago) on
the DaVinci Code drew the largest crowd (people from other towns, even) than
I've ever seen there. People wanting to be reassured, for the most part, that
our foundations aren't really rotten to the core. Since I am a tolerated
heretic, I really enjoyed it. I do think most men and women who are still in church
underestimate the hurt done to women by its patriarchal teachings through the
centuries. I include protestant churches.

Thanks, Lucille, for being here.

Love and blessings,
Jann McGuire
