For those of you who are interested in "new" church hymns:
United Methodist churches make 25 songs popular
PORTLAND, Ore. (UMNS)-Christian Copyright Licensing International surveyed
13,895 United Methodist churches across the United States last year and has
released a list of the top 25 songs that the churches with copyright licenses
are using in worship. "The CCLI Top 25 List is a true benchmark for church
music, since it represents a clear measure of which songs the churches are using
most in their congregational singing," said Howard Rachinski, founder and
president. The top 25 songs United Methodist churches are singing are: "Lord I
Lift Your Name On High," Rick Founds; "Come Now Is The Time To Worship,"
Brian Doerksen; "Shout To The Lord," Darlene Zschech; "Here I Am To Worship," Tim
Hughes; "Open The Eyes Of My Heart," Paul Baloche; "Shine Jesus Shine,"
Graham Kendrick; "Trading My Sorrows," Darrell Evans; "You Are My All In All,"
Dennis Jernigan; "Every Move I Make," David Ruis; "The Heart Of Worship," Matt
Redman; "Sanctuary," John W. Thompson, Randy Scruggs; "Breathe," Marie
Barnett; "Forever," Chris Tomlin; "Awesome God," Rich Mullins; "God Of Wonders,"
Marc Byrd, Steve Hindalong; "Above All," Lenny LeBlanc, Paul Baloche; "I Love
You Lord," Laurie Klein; "I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever," Martin Smith;
