[Dialogue] Some more on the Tsunami from an Interesting Volunteer

Well done Mitta for her work in India. I tried backchannelling her to share

her experiences, but I see she has now posted this to the group. I'd be very

pleased to communicate with Mitta personally.

I also worked in the Tamil Nadu area of South India with survivors of the

tsunami. I worked in the region just south of Chennai, and further south in

the Nagapattinam District. I worked with survivors and also with local

village volunteers (counsellors), to help them with their personal issues. I

did some training of volunteers. The volunteers I worked with (who acted as

my translators) were fantastic - very talented, very helpful and totally

committed. I intend to go back in May and do some more work.
