What a dynamite pair of postings.  Howard Zinn's article opened my eyes to the reality that it is an aroused public that finally makes good things happen, not just the Constitution or a sympathetic Supreme Court.  And he cites instances when that's exactly what has happened.  Thanks for posting this, Harry.

And then Janice immediately picks up on the essence of Zinn's thesis and gives us first hand details about a strong example of what aroused citizens were able to accomplish so recently.  Thank you Janice for this wonderful follow up. And cheers to you for helping make it happen.
