Hi Bonnie,

The CoP people all know our long-time colleagues in the New Orleans area.
Here is one whose message came on the dialogue listserv this morning:

Carlos is part of a circle of colleagues, about a half dozen of whom are
still actively doing consulting and facilitating work.

I'm wondering if we should be putting out an official invitation from Betsy
to let the Gulf Coast colleagues know that we are looking for ways that ICA
as an organization of facilitators and community builders can be uniquely of
help. There are bound to be efforts that need facilitators and people who
know something about creating community in primitive conditions. We all did
it overseas in the villages for a decade or more.

Also, all of the old order-related folks or staff who have worked in
communities know how to organize people in confined places. We could do a
super job of training refugees how to organize themselves into working units
in the shelters. We ought to be working alongside the counselors who will be
flooding into the area to help people do their emotional recovery work.

I'll bet the MOBIS folks know how to get in touch with the agencies who
might be needing facilitator subcontractors. We ought to be able to turn
disaster into a money making opportunity for the fall if we work through the
right connections.
