Cynthia,
Thank you for sending this along. This is the best programmatic idea I've seen in a long time (subject to seeing some more details)! I'll check it out.
Thanks,
Steve Rhea

Hi Colleagues
Here's your chance to bend history again -- addressing the (new) moral issue of our time.
Maybe a chance to save planet earth before we croak?
In 50+ years San Francisco, Bangladesh, Shanghai, South Florida, New York and the Eastern cities will be under water, unless there is a radical awakenment. Never thought I'd use that word again.
Rev up your laptops and LCD's; Prove that power points can be interactive!
Could this be better than doing the Oklahoma 100? Maybe, or shall we leave this to the next generation?
Are we finished; ready to retire. Frankly I was; I think about this every day, especially after a full day facilitating. But now I'm not so sure. That film, "An Inconvenient Truth" still nags at me.
If after the election fiasco, if Al Gore can do 1,000 presentations around the globe, maybe I can do at least the 10 they would ask of me. If 1,000 are trained and do 10 each that's -- 10,000 presentations in the next 12 months. What do y'all think?
Maybe we should meet in Tennesee for our next journey. (See information below)

THE CLIMATE PROJECT - TRAINING PROGRAM
We appreciate you contacting us concerning The Climate Project â Training Program. Details of this program have now been set.
Al Gore will begin training more than 1,000 individuals to make presentations to groups in their local communities. The Climate Project will administer these training sessions. They will focus on the science behind the presentation Al Gore has been making for more than two decades as seen in the film An Inconvenient Truth. This will help trainees to become presenters.
Training sessions will begin in late September in Nashville, Tennessee. Applicants will be asked to select their first two choices.
Each training session will take place over a two day period and will be free of charge to those applicants who are selected. Trainees will receive a âTool Kitâ containing a handbook, handouts for their audiences, presentations, and all other materials necessary to make a presentation of their own.
We will provide a list of accommodation options and other local information. Receptions and meals will be provided during the sessions. Trainees will be expected to pay for their own flights or transportation, accommodation and any additional meals.
Most importantly, each trainee will be asked to commit to making a minimum of ten (10) presentations over a one-year period following the completion of their training and to meet other reasonable requirements which will be outlined prior to the training program.
If you wish to apply, please complete the following online application - ASAP.
