Cynthia,
Thank you sooooo much for the whopping crane migration website:
http://www.operationmigration.org/2006migrationmap.html
Richard and I are leaving tonight for Chincoteague Island, VA for two weeks (including a full Christmas week with our sons and their families--yeah!) on the DeMarVa peninsula where we own property and where, within a few months, we are "retiring"--while still working. We are always thrilled when the Snow Geese come down from Canada to neighboring Assateague Island by the thousands in the late fall and stay till early spring. What a glorious sight--and sound-- when they all rise into the air together and fill the sky with their calls.
Your e-mail led me to google Snow Geese migration and I found a brief but informative website with a map that does indeed show the Snow Geese wintering range on the East Coast DelMarVa and south on to South Carolina. Thank you again.
I wish you and Bob a wonderful holiday season.
