Hi Marge,

I don't know about chickens in Bayad, but when Judy and I were on the island of Rong Rong - I have fond memories of teaching her how to scale and gut a fish and figuring out how to put rubber bands around the claws of giant crabs - at the end of each semester, we would take a couple of the students to the next island and chase down wild chickens - we always shared the catch with the students in exchange for their part in dressing the celebratory entre - we don't need to go into roasting pigs.
