Sunny -

"Ayllu" (in the ancient Quichua language) roughly translates into
"community". During the reign of the Incas (here I go again!) - the vision
of those in the "ayllu" was the fulfillment of an egalitarian society, where

nobody and everybody ruled, where everybody worked, and where everybody's
basic needs were met. Some remnants of this dynamic still remain in the
highlands of Perz, in the Urubamba Valley, for example, "The Sacred Valley
of the Incas". In some of the towns, most of the arable land is
"community-owned", administered by the municipality. The tillers then lease

these lands from the municipality and turn over a portion of the proceeds to

the "administrator-co-owner".

And in Azpitia...this dynamic is present as far as the distribution of water

is concerned - all the tillers in the community are organized into a
"Comisisn de Regantes" or "Commission of Irrigation-Users". Everybody has
equal access to the water supply, take turns in irrigating their fields.

Okay, I was reviewing the Ur Images chart (from Golden Pathways CD),
especially looking at the red Ur. Under Social Mode is "allylu" - who knows
what that is? Other Urs have recognizable catetories like nation, tribe,
caste, brotherhood, and family. Help!
