Dear Colleagues,

Since the Christmas season begins on Christmas Day and continues for twelve
days, this greeting comes in a timely manner!!

Here's a greeting to you - I found this verse on a Christmas card - it seems
to be based on the art form model (ORID) model!

" 'Tis the season to give love and spread good cheer, listen, reflect,
rejoice and look with hope to the new year."

We've had an unusual ending to 2005. We were awakened at 3:00 AM by police
blowing horns to warn residents near the river of the flood warning. Our
condo building faces the river. All residents spent the early hours of New
Year's Eve moving "stuff" in our storage units on the ground floor upstairs
and our cars uphill to higher ground. The river crested the banks about 10
A.M., flooding the streets on both sides of the river and park. The water
never entered our building but came very close. Some houses & businesses in
low areas along creeks were not so lucky The national news has mentioned
flooding in northern California, esp. in Napa & Sonoma counties. The same
happened in northern Nevada. In the Reno & Carson City areas. Interstate 80
and other highways have been closed due to mudslides. Most have been
reopened. A state of emergency has been declared in northern Nevada &
northern California.

Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2006!
