Dear Colleagues,

Thank you for all of your care and concern for both Brian and me in
these last months. All of your stories and good wishes surround me as
I walk slowly into these new days and the next chapter of my life.
30 people attended a memorial service at the Ecumenical Mission in
Seaford, South Australia where we live. Colleagues, care workers,
and family were present.

If you would like a copy of the Memorial service and Eulogy, I would
be pleased to email it to you personally. Just send me a note at
rbstanfi at bigpond.net.au and I will send it to you.

Last week I took some of Brian¹s ashes to Port Macquarie in New South
Wales where Brian grew up. 8 people joined me there from Brisbane,
Melbourne, Sydney and Port Macquarie. The eight included three primary
school mates
of Brian¹s, two students he taught from the class of 64, Joan, his niece,
Katrin
Ogilvy , colleague from Melbourne and me. After we scattered ashes around
the family plot
and on the Hastings River, we went to the Royal Hotel, Brian¹s home when he
lived in ³Port ³,
for a drink and potato wedges with sour cream and sweet chili sauce-a
favorite of Brian¹s.
A very fine event.

There will be a memorial service in Toronto the afternoon of November 4.
Duncan Holmes
is coordinating the service. I will be there with ashes to scatter in Lake
Ontario.

Peace,

Jeanette Stanfield
