Hello Friends,
Burna just forwarded this wonderful connection from a colleague at the
Spring Institute:

Every now and then there is a new internet initiative that is truly
innovative
and fun. WikiMapia is one of them.
WikiMapia is a project to describe the whole planet Earth. It was created by
Alexandre Koriakine and Evgeniy Saveliev, inspired by Google maps and
Wikipedia, and it was released on 24 may 2006. Just move the map to find
interesting places, click on rectangles to find out more about them. To add
an
interesting place or object use Add New link. Please only add places
interesting to everyone.
We have put Spring Institute on the map already:

---end quote---
With thanks from Peter Janssen for keeping track of such matters.
David
