Wonderful report, Dick. I'll share it with people locally who are enthusiastic about Lerner's book The Left Hand of God. Beginning July 12 an ecumenical group (but broader - some "spiritual but not religious") will have 8 weekly 2-hour sessions on this book. It will be facilitated by a Catholic priest, 2 U Methodist pastors, a Catholic lay Social Justice Minister, and me - each taking a session. We'll meet next week to work on the format. Twenty are signed up from past summer programs, and we haven't yet started wider publicity. Several, including me, would have liked to be at the conference. Perhaps a regional one... Lerner's report is so honest & balanced. It will be great to get yours. Many thanks for this latest on-behalf-of.

This is Rabbi Lerner's report, which gives a good overview of the 4 day conference.
The plenary sessions featured speakers like Jim Wallis, Tony Copolo, and many others.
It is becoming clear to me that this is New Social Vehicle underway.
I will share my relections in more detail soon.
