David,
Do you know if the people no long working for ICA were offered health ins
"COBRA"
it looks like more than 20 people worked for ICA in Aug & Sept.

I certainly can not and don't intend to be an apologist for the ICA USA
board of directors, but I can supply some of the data.
14 members of the ICA USA senior program staff were laid off in a
comprehensive 'Reduction In Force.' Many will know the expression, "RIFfed."
People who know employment law need to weigh in, but being laid off by a
reduction in force leaves one eligible for unemployment insurance, which I
don't think is the case when one is fired. I can't speak to any issues that
might be related to the age or classification of the workers laid off.
The following 14 were laid off:
-- The PHX 'RIF': John Oyler, Marilyn Oyler, Jim Wiegel, Raúl Jorquera,
Angelica Rodriguez
(Bonnie Lucas as Asst Interim Director, Joan Knutson, Tim Hedger, Jan
McConahay, Jane Warren, Maria Muñoz and Mandy Tuitavuki remain to handle
contractual obligations, order fulfillment, accounting, database and web
site management, communication and ToP Network support.)
-- The DEN 'RIF': Sunny Walker (Denver Program Coordinator) and David Dunn
(publishing for the national organization)
(The entire Denver volunteer team, Ruth Reames, Catherine Welch, Jim Slotta,
Carl Larson, Eric Smith, Anne Neal, Bob Sample, Don Elliott (current board
member), Louise Singleton and Bob Morgan (both former board members) and
sundry spouses and others remains intact, working itself through the
emotional roller coaster.)
-- The CHI 'RIF': Marge Philbrook, Dick Alton, Mary Laura Jones, Dennis
Jennings, Judy Weddle, Walter Fisher and Mamie Tucker
(May Domingo, Larry Schwartz, Laura Dellaca, Elaine Ross, Deborah Jackson,
John Donnell, Ken Otta, Ekrem Denic, Jusuf Klucanin, Mave Lawler, Cleveland
Eatman, John McKeowan, John Luna, John Roberts, Juan Alvarez and some Int'l
Conference Center staff remain to keep 4750 N Sheridan and at least the
Learning Basket program afloat.)
Note the enclosed organizational chart that just arrived yesterday and the
cartoon that Burna Dunn spotted in the Rocky Mountain News today.
