Dear Colleagues,
for those of you who want to attend the funeral of Jim, it will be on Monday
30th April at 1pm in Henley.
I will deliver the eulogy. In order to do this I need material, anecdotes
that capture his spirit. And also his contribution to society. What I wrote on
Monday is basically all I know. When did he get to India? What were his first
jobs? What was significant about the diplomacy role he played between the UK
and India in the early 1950s? What was his role as chair of the 'Indian
Chamber of Commerce and Industry'? Was if the fact, that he was an Englishman
playing that role that signifies his role in India? What exactly was the name
of that organisation? And what did he do there? When did he leave India?
What were his achievements at Henley? How did he get involved with us? From when
to when was he president of ICA International?
I appreciate information on any of these or any other aspect of his life. .
Of course, I will discuss these questions with Peggy aswell.
Paul
