I don't know what the significance is, but this song is also page 2222 of The United Methodist "The Faith We Sing" pew edition. It was compiled primarily as a supplement to the United Methodist Hymnal in 1989 with a vision of it being an ecumenical rather than denominational hymn book. The copywrite listed in my copy is held by the United Methodist Publishing House a.k.a. Abingdon Press, Nashville. It would be interesting to know if the roots are the same on all the mentioned resources. Part of my curiosity stems from my eternal gratitude to John and Charles Wesley for the gift of song.

The Song is titled "The Servant Song" (not to be confused with one the same name in the 2007 Catholic Church Today's Missal). Two places it can be found are the UCC songbook "The Faith We Sing" p. 2222 and the Presbyterian songbook "Sing the Faith", p.2222.
