[Dialogue] Response to the Hillary/Obama dialogue

Experience. Well...let's see...there was another guy who lacked the right
kind of "experience" for the job, and he was a transplant, too. I'm talking
about Abraham Lincoln, who only served one term, repeat - one term, in the
U.S. Congress. In fact, he had more experience in losing than in winning.
Truth is, he ran and lost 11 times, and couldn't even get elected Senator
from Illinois. There was, though, one - just one burning issue in his time,
when he had the audacity to run for president: Slavery. That was the only
issue that mattered.
15 years ago, the battle cry was: "It's the economy, stupid!" This time
around, the cry is: "It's the war, stupid!" Will Illinois give us another
great president? Oh, I forgot - Hillary is originally from Illinois.
Well......

For those who have not read "The Audacity of Hope" by Barack Obama, I
suggest you do. It will give you some insight into his position on many
issues. One of the criticisms of Obama is his lack of experience in
Washington. Maybe that is a very good thing, when you look at what that
experience has done to so many of our politicians. However, I find the
whole debate very tiring when one realizes it will go on for almost 2 years,
and I heard tonight it might be the first $1.0 billion election campaign by
all candidates. Take a lead from Canada. Signs go up 30 days before the
election.
