      Priscilla, it is pointed out in Ken Wilber's writings that one can operate out of any level at or below the highest achieved.  Simply because one has experiencially achieved the mystical level does not mean that one operates out of it all the time or even at all.  I'm convinced that JWM experienced the mystical, at least at times, but he chose to operate at or near the reational level.  There is no inconsistency.  >From his mystical perspective he saw the need to kick ass at the rational level to motivate people at that or lower levels.
