NSP-MN Communications/Development Director
The Network of Spiritual Progressives-Minnesota is seeking a part-time
contractor to serve as communications and development director.
NSP-MN is a non-profit 501©)(3) organization engaged in educational and
organizing activities to raise awareness of the spiritual dimension of
public issues as set forth in the 2006 book by Rabbi Michael Lerner,
The Left Hand of God. Information on the goals, activities and
leadership of NSP-MN can be found at www.nspmn.org. NSP-MN is an
affiliate of the Network of Spiritual Progressives, a national
organization headquartered in Berkeley, California, and more fully
described at www.spiritualprogressives.org.
After a year and one-half of dynamic growth and activity managed by a
volunteer Steering Team, NSP-MN is at the point where it is seeking an
independent contractor to serve as a communications and development
director to assist with membership communications, including website
management; outreach; networking; and fundraising.
We anticipate the position beginning at about 20 hours per month and
expanding as more funding becomes available. Candidates will need a
deep commitment to peace and social justice, experience with large
advocacy organizations and fundraising, and good communications and
computer skills. Prospective candidates should be prepared to manage
the fundraising needed to support this position. Compensation is
negotiable.
For more information, contact NSP-MN chair Bruce Peterson at
brucelissem at aol.com, or 612-929-9207 or treasurer Bruce Fisher at
bifsales at aol.com or 763-531-9700.
