We will be traveling that weekend, but I like the idea and would like to be
involved.

Dear Colleagues,
The Gilles family, the Scott family and the Dunn family, among others, and
your colleagues in Denver, invite you to a gathering later this month in
Denver to talk about the future of the Order. We're calling it the
"Springboard Gathering" because we hope that it will become a springboard
toward something new and life giving in our service to the world and our
relationship with each other.
We know that this invitation comes later than desirable and we know that we
may not be able to find homes for bed and breakfast accommodation for
everyone. But we want you to know that there will be a gathering, that you
are welcome and that we will do our best to make you welcome and
comfortable.
Jack Gilles asked me to include the following six points to clarify the
context for these three days: Friday afternoon Mar 30, Saturday Mar 31 and
Sunday morning, April 1.
JACK'S NOTES
1. This gathering is about the Order and its future. It could also
be about the formation of a new Order. It is probably the first of
many such gatherings.
2. This gathering is about the future, not the past. We will not be
discussing ICA's current reality or future. We may be reflecting on
what the ICA has put into history.
3. This gathering is about globality. We will be considering what,
where and who for the planet; the context is larger than the USA.
4. This gathering is about action. Those who come should be
considering how they might join with others in some new ventures/
centers or synergistic work.
5. This gathering is about the Repository. We have much work to do
to make our past, current and future research available and
interactive to a larger audience.
6. Finally, this gathering is about Spirit. Our collective spirit
and the new expressions of the Spirit Movement that we need to serve.
DAVID DUNN'S NOTES ON DETAILS
We have a web site that is beginning to come alive. We're experimenting with
a web site that is set up to coordinate projects. It will become the
"preparation and practics central" for this event that you can find at:
http://movementinitiatives.grouphub.com
You can access the site by logging in with the user name "guest" and
password "password".
During the weekend of the gathering, this will also be where you can follow
the conversation and add your input. We'll be posting notes regularly each
day and bringing input back to share with the people in Denver.
The site has several sections.
-- We'll use the "MESSAGES" section to post details about practical
arrangements like cost ($125 for breakfast and amenities, and our meeting
space).
-- We'll use the "TO-DO" section to help keep our organizing team on track.
-- We'll use the "MILESTONES" section to keep track of the dates that people
arrive and that any before and after gatherings will take place.
-- We'll use the "WRITEBOARDS" section to post the papers, suggested
readings and other materials that people are exploring in preparation for
the Gathering. We'll also post notes from our discussions during the
Gathering on the "Writeboard".
-- A "CHAT" section is a online 'chat room' you can use for text chats with
anyone, anywhere, any time.
-- The "FILES" section will be for documents that we decide to upload.
-- The "PEOPLE" section lists who's coming, who's considering and their
email addresses.
We'll have information about who is handling what details available later
this week. Watch the web site. If you subscribe to the "RSS" feed, when new
information is posted, you will receive a short headline and summary with a
link if you want to read more.
We'll try to put answers to the questions you ask up on the site, either in
the FAQ (the first of the Writeboards) or in a message with related details
as they are clarified.
Hppe that you can be with us, in person or 'virtually.'
