Go online and listen to the turne and sing to . . .
Here by the Lachlan
Surrounded by trees
Close to the center
Lying far from the seas
We'll build a future
We've come to forsee
And we build on a past
Our people's heritage
Murrin Bridge
W'e're singing to your people
Oh, Murrin Bridge
We're dreaming your future
Oh, Murrin Bridge
Past strengths to draw from
With resources strong
Dreaming through planning
Our future to own
Building for people
In shadows too long
Bringing forth a new dreaming
As we move along
Refrain. . .
(Haunting and powerful . . . underlined lines that struck me this time . .
. and even more, now . . . couldn't get over th sidewalks in the clip . . .
and has anyone bought some of their wine?)

Great, Wayne. Thanks. And there were those who said it was hopeless.
One round of the "Murrin Bridge" song, mates.

Story: Second trip to Murrin Bridge, the radiator heated, and I pulled the
cap off too soon. Blistered on my front side and spent the night next to the
clinic that nursed me.

The TV program, "The Thirsty Traveler" has a guy who goes around the world
to various vine regions and does a feature on the local vine and cuisine.
When they heard about and approached Murrin Bridge Wines, Craig called me
(we've kept in touch, in an extended family sort of way) and asked me to
talk with the producer to build some cultural bridges. I helped Craig
understand where they were coming from as well. It was fun.
Craig Cromlin is the guy featured. He was a community health worker with us-
call it day time staff - and we spent a great deal of time with him. He's
the driver behind the wine project. They were working with the local
technical college on possibilities for economic development and the
conditions were good for grapes.
Here's the video. The sound is kind of low; so turn it up a bit.
