Found this version of Fred. A man of many reincarnations. Sorry, but
they didn't give him a phone listing in Kerrville. Notice the variant
spelling of Frederic:
Buss, L Fredrik
36 Scenic Valley Park
Kerrville, TX 78028
and, voila, at Austin Community College over in Fredericksburg, TX,
there's another clone of Buss about 20 miles from Kerrville:
L. Buss is assistant adjunct professor of sociology. But his email is:
fbuss at austincc.edu <mailto:fbuss at austincc.edu> . And his phone number
is: 895-2785 with whatever area code they've thought up recently.

Back in January, when I attended the Realistic Living course
taught by Gene and Joyce Marshall at "Martha's Table" (Lindsey Buss:
Director) in Washington, DC, Fred was living in Curville, Texas. He was
teaching at a nearby community college.

That's the last time we saw or heard from him. We've
sent Xmas cards for a while - don't remember to which address - and
haven't heard back. He loved teaching and had several classes which
added up to almost full time. His son, Lindsey, is in the DC area, first
as a lawyer with some prestigious firm and then left to become involved
in/director of? a non-profit in some aspect of providing food for
homeless, or some such segment of society. Maybe someone in the DC area
may know of him or find him & thereby discover if and where Fred is. :-)

P.S. Dan had back surgery Friday afternoon and was
release from hospital this evening. He has done remarkably well.
However, he can't do much except walk - at present with help of a walker
- for two weeks. No bending, lifting pushing pulling, etc. So guess who
will be doing all that! That won't be difficult. What will be difficult
is keeping him from attempting all that.

Folks,
This is probably the correct one. Perhaps the Tuecke's
would way in. About 8 years ago we all had breakfast in Miami, and
Fred joined us. He regaled us for 4 hours (almost nonstop -- but
hilarious) about everything and then handed out his syllabus for the
sociology course he was teaching at the community college -- which had
practiduum component whereby these frosh would DO sociology -- by going
to the mall and conducting some experiments -- like staring at certain
people etc.
At that time he was living with and taking care of his
mother in a condo with a view of the intercoastal waterway.
Whoever was at first interested should telephone him!!
