David, 

    I remember the week we spent together looking at a rock wall on the second floor hall of the Kemper building. We were working on the pressure points of the Social Process Triangle and  our task was to see through the wall as to how to creatively and effectively respond to the information we had. Yes, we set there for a week and we finally got a glimpse of what was on the other side - What was it? It was that the new world coming would need to have A GLOBAL SERVANT HOOD FORCE to meet the challenges of both the now and the future.

                Dear Pat,

                As news of David's condition has arrived over the past few weeks, several occasions with him come to mind.  However, there is one that says what I would like you to say to him for me at this special time in his life.  It was a video recording of David addressing the participants at the end of an HDP Consult.  His words went something like, "We don't thank you, we just thank God for you."

                Well, I thank God for David, but I also thank David for the intellectual clarity he has given and the spiritual inspiration he has been for our Order and movement, and for me personally.  Please tell him this and give him a hug from me.
