It seems like we are recreating our space of memories and so I am sending
this to the larger group

· *In Kendur our home/ashram was in a large, school building. The
room behind was being shared by Dona, you and Cyprian and myself. I think
there was a bamboo partition of some kind!! We lived in the back half and
you had the front half!!*
· *Pune Division times: Gunaji Kale/ Lala Divekar/ Tim and Rose
Caswell and their daughter Jessica in Tasgaon/ Larry Philbrook in Baramati/
Adrian Rhodes in Kholapur /Jim and Lorrraine Patterson in Sholapur/ James
Latrobe in Nanded /Steven Pollanik*

· *Our cow dung covered floors. I learned to do the job(mixing fresh
cow dung to the right consistency with water and spreading it with your
right palm) in Kendur.*

· *Our meals seated on the floor*

· *Carrying water from the community well to our ashram either on our
heads or in buckets and filling up the cement tank in the fromt of the house

· *Bab Rafos visiting us to tell us of JWM's cancer.*

· *The long bus rides into Pune and back to the village*

· *The railway station in Pune and the Shivaji Nagar bus stand *
* *
· *Site selection with Cyprian. Travelling with a borrowed car. You
were the driver!*

· *Turning up late in the evening at a remote government guest hous
ein a deep forest in Ratnagiri on a cold, rainy night during the monsoon. The
care taker heated up some water for you and cooked you a meal including a
chicken curry. He was also able to locate some whisky for you.*

· *The selection of Narayanchincloli village.*
* *
· *The Rajneesh folks in theri hundreds in Pune whom we discounted*
* *
· *The weekend over Christmas in Pune which was totally subsidised by
you and Donna. I do not remember where we stayed but we had our Christmas
dinner at the Blue Diamond. Thank you.*

· *Eating guavas*

*You taking our 4 year old son Ashwath to the Byculla Fire Station in
Mumbai*

*The shiver in your voice and in your hands when you were stating what was
true for you*

*Kendra and you sitting on a sofa on the second floor during one of our
summer programmes at Kemper*

*Your patience*
* *
*Your solitariness and your willingness to be solitary.*

*Your presence in **Delhi** both before and after the IERD…times of change.*
