[Dialogue] Brooke Tippett wins the Golden Apple Award

Dear Mike and Judith,

Your Brooke has certainly become what we here in New England would call a
"Stah" -- both across our global network of colleagues, but more
importantly in Pierce School, the City of Chicago and the broader
educational community.

I do remember Brooke -- as a gorgeous brunette in her late teens, at a
Movement/Order event somewhere (how the memories blur over the years). 
It may have even been a Cubs game we all attended?   I can remember
something stuck me in her "style of differentiation" -- own unique
relationship to whatever we were discussing or ritualizing at the time --
that might have held the potential for shaping her current moniker for
the OE as "the Cult."  (I hope she means that fondly.)

Now as I view her in the video I see both of your gene sets wonderfully
represented in her physical being.  I also sense your imprenteurs of
intellectual discipline, social service commitment and spirit depth
reflected in her superb contributions to the kids at Pierce. 

And yes, the music "within" is always there to be called forth.  What a
gift that there are teachers that make that calling forth their
"mission."

We are bursting with pride for our daughter Brooke, who won the Chicago
Golden Apple award in May.  The ceremony will be in September, so we will
get a chance to be there to see her honored !   What a thrill to have the
Mayor of Chicago visit her at at her school presenting her with a basket
of apples with a golden apple on top !
 
We have to believe that some of the Order life, particularly the Imaginal
Education, etc. rubbed off on her, even though she often refers to when
she was in "The Cult"
