Which is only part of the reason that I am currently in Nairobi.

Am trying this with a picture (attachment) of the native praire pasque flower that comes out--you guessed it--at Easter!

VERNAL EQUINOX CELEBRATION

MARCH 22, 2008

9 am to 3 pm

Celebrating the coming of spring by Reclaiming an Oak Savannah from encroaching sumac, dogwood, gooseberry, and eastern red cedar.

A volunteer workdayBring the tool you will be comfortable with and one to share if you have extra. We will be using snippers, bow saws, brush cutters. If you bring a chain saw be sure to bring your chaps as well. 

The workday will be punctuated by a Potluck chili feed (both meat and vegetarian chili). Chili and drink are provided.

During the mealtime we expect to share story telling. Afterwards we may have a SongCircle. If youd like, bring a musical instrument.
