I hate to bring up list issues on the list, because, ironically
enough, discussion ABOUT the list is pretty much off topic for this
list!! <grin!> Alas, I need to anyway. But please, let's not discuss
this ON this beyond this message. Try to email me personally, and not
the list, with any comments.
The host of this mailing list has informed me that some of the list
members who have America Online (aol.com) email addresses have
complained to him that they are getting Spam from this list.
Everyone on this list had to be approved personally by myself or
Harry Wainwright, so there shouldn't be anyone on the dialogue list
who doesn't want to be. (We can always make mistakes.) If you don't
want to be on this list, there are instructions at the bottom of
every message that tell you how to get off the list (you may see this
as an attachment rather than at the bottom.) Or you can let me or
Harry know and we will remove your email from the list.
I suspect that there may be some misunderstandings behind these
complaints. Perhaps some of you have trouble distinguishing list
messages from spam. All list messages are marked in the subject line
with [Dialogue].
If there is any way I can help, let me know. I may send a special
message to just aol.com addresses to figure out what the problem is.
If you think you ARE getting spam via the list, please forward the
emails to me so I can have a look and fix the problem.
Thanks for your patience. As always, Harry and I am to be of service
to our network.
