[Dialogue] Obama

Your stories are wonderful. Yesterday I read Margaret Aiseayew's 
story to my writing group. Thank you to all of you for writing and 
sharing. A great collection of stores is being created. I'm looking 
forward to reading the latest batch.

When I got up yesterday morning the universe seemed different...

DAY ONE - November 5, 2008

Looking out the window this morning, the grass lit with sun streaming 
through clouds of a winter sky - I feel a weight has been lifted. The 
knot in my stomach is gone. I slept all night and awoke feeling 
hopeful, about a lot of things.

Last night, hearing Obama speak to the nation and to the world, was 
everything I've hoped to hear from a President Elect. It was a relief 
to hear the flow, the pace, the tone, the passion and the honesty of 
the man elected to lead this country. Words make a difference.

His presence, open stance, genuine smile, deep strong gaze, posture 
of humility, and grateful delight in accepting his role as President 
of the United States of America was wonderful to see. Body language 
makes a difference.

Every word and every gesture count toward making this planet a decent 
place to live for everyone. Obama is a walking, talking educator of 
the imagination.

lines of the song below, done by someone in calligraphy, in a frame 
on my kitchen counter.
