[Dialogue] My only word on Palin

Steve,
My feelings are beyond anger at the moment. Reading your appended letter
makes me truly sad. Very sad.
My anger would have previously exploded into hotly pointing out that good
old Dutch was lied to as George Bush used code words to enlist the votes of
the right wing church. Then in talking to us, the right wing church members
lied to us about bush and "values". And they appeared to vote against
Americans in distress.
After all, George Bush has no prevailing or profound Christian
consciousness, although their is some evidence of a personal piety.
Furthermore, it is very clear that even the right wing churches do not
preach a gospel of torture, the attacking of the environment or cheating on
your word.
In their over exuberant support good old Dutch and his fellows lied to us
and abandoned the fundamental basics of their own faith. It was and is
truly an act of betrayal.
Today I find myself sad by people who are frozen in consciousness and don't
find the psychological courage to break out of their proverbial boxes. And
as to good old Dutch, I really wonder what his delusion says about his and
his congregations mental health.
All the best,
Ed
