My chapter 25, "Rural International Development Using the ICA Model in India
and Malaysia",  in the book Discovering Common Ground by Marv Weisbord
describes some of the points you have mentioned. Weisbord edited a paper I
had written that was published in the Bay Area Organizational Development
Journal, Vision/Action, titled "From Village to Boardroom, Planning That
Empowers. I've attached a PDF copy of the article.

 

Terry Bergdall has written more extensively - good stuff.
