[Dialogue] beyond the republican meltdown and symbols

I can think of some images.  Bread lines from the 30s.  In my little part of the world, they are getting longer and the food banks are running out of food and the next shipment will be even less because there are fewer donations.  How about the flag covered caskets?
How about a fact or two.  Abortion rates were lower under Clinton than Bush.  They are more tied to bad economic times than anything else.. How about pictures of closed factories.  Here's a side by side Pictures from the Great Depression of people committing suicide  and people today leaping of  buildings with golden parachutes.  Or to get really morbid, a picture of Gov. Palin holding one of those rather large guns side by side with some kid holding the same weapon.  The caption under all of these is something like "Is this who we are?"
