[Dialogue] sing along

That is another one but I think it was walked to the mine. I left a key in the front door the other day. Luckily no one took advantage of it. For those in the Houston area, we in New Orleans particularly feel your pain. As to the bail out, I see very little choice but Bush and the Republicans are using the same old tactic. “Rather than include the victims, we need a quick solution (mine for the fat cats) and if you block it you are the problem” not the fact that since Reagan they created this mess.

There's one more verse I remember:

I was born one morning when the sun didn't shine.

I picked up my shovel and walked to the line.

I loaded 16 tons of number 9 coal

And the straw boss said, "Well, bless my soul."

Wish I could remember where I put my car keys.

If it has lyrics to music I often remember

To the best of my recollection these are the words

Some people say a man is made out of mud

A poor man’s made out of muscle and blood

Muscle and blood and skin and bones

A mind that’s weak and a back that’s strong

Chorus:

You load sixteen tons and what do you get

Another day older and deeper in debt

St. Peter don’t you call me cause I can’t go

I owe my soul to the company store

I was born one morning it was drizzling rain

Fussing and fighting for my middle name

I was raised in the cain brick by an old mother lion

Ain’t no high tail woman make me walk the line

Chorus

If you see me coming better step aside

A lot of men didn’t and a lot of men died

I got one fist of iron and the other of steel

If the right one don’t get you

Then the left one will

Chorus

(In the last chorus “I oooowe------ my sooooul toooo etc.)
