Hi everyone,

Suzanne and I do not have Bob's e-mail address because our letter exchanges w/ Bob have always happened w/ the help of the US Post Office.
I'll check around w/ some Local-Church-Experiment alumni (Wendell and Mary Clutz in particular).

    Hi everyone,

Thought you would like to know . . .
Robert Hamilton Stewart, long-time UMC minister, will marry Patricia Ann Thompson on August 22, 2009 at Cornerstone Community UMC, Rocklin, CA.
Their stated text for the wedding is Ephesians 4:2 . . . "W/ all humility and gentleness, w/ patience, bearing w/ one another in love ..."

My Dad, Phil Philbrook, was the Wesley Foundation Director at several Universities during those years and took a number of student caravans to various locations for National Meetings. Vance Engleman and Bob Stewart were guests in our parsonage for various MSM events.

Marge has reel to reel tapes of Keynote Addresses from the conferences. As children we complained about moving those tapes over and over again. After Phil died,I remember reading the box covers. Names like Frank Laubach, Joseph Wesley Matthews, and Martin Luther King Jr, were on some of the boxes. At the time, I thought, they really represent the call for change in all areas of our lives in those years, it is no wonder that so many young people were called to create a new way.

      Paula
